BRAWS (Bringing Resources to Aid Women’s Shelters) is a volunteer-driven, community-based organization dedicated to promoting dignity and empowerment for women and girls in need.
BRAWS serves 80+ Community Partners through Shelters, Schools, Food Pantries, Re-entry support, Rehabilitation and substance abuse facilities in Fairfax Co., Loudoun Co., Prince William Co., Frederick Co., Arlington, Alexandria & Washington DC.

May is Menstrual Health Awareness Month
Inspired by the 28-day menstrual cycle, BRAWS is organizing 28+ collection drives throughout May to provide menstrual products and undergarments for local shelters, schools, pantries, and community organizations.
Access to these basic necessities affects health, dignity, and opportunity—and your support helps ensure that no one in our community goes without.
We invite people to get involved:
Host a collection drive at your workplace, school, or community space by collecting new bras, sports bras, underwear, pads, and tampons (unopened and/or with tags).
Host a virtual drive for a simple but impactful way to contribute. This option allows your group to participate without managing physical donations, while giving BRAWS the flexibility to source and distribute the most-needed items.
